Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
The short version
- LiquidViewer is read-only. It can never move your funds.
- We never ask for a seed phrase or a private key.
- No account name, no e-mail required to sign up. Your account is a random identifier.
- We do not run advertising, we do not track you across apps, and we never sell your data.
This policy explains what LiquidViewer collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
1. Who is responsible
LiquidViewer is operated by DREAM-TECH (trading as LiquidViewer), Brussels, Belgium. Under the GDPR, we are the data controller for the data described below.
You can reach us from the app: open the menu, then Support. Every request is answered by e-mail. You may also write to support [at] liquidviewer.app
2. What we collect
LiquidViewer has no sign-up form. When you first open the app it generates a random identifier, and that becomes your account. There is no name, no e-mail, no profile.
Beyond that account, we hold four things:
- Your portfolio — the public addresses, exchange connections and manual entries you add yourself, the balances read back from them, and your price alerts.
- Basic technical data about your device and connection, needed to run and secure the service.
- A notification token, if you turn on price alerts, so we can reach your device.
- Your support messages, and the e-mail address you give us to answer them.
Exchange connections use API keys that must be read-only. Such a key can read balances and nothing else — it cannot trade, and it cannot withdraw.
What we never collect: seed phrases, private keys, your name, your postal address, your contacts, your photos, your device location, or your activity in other apps. The app asks for none of them, and there is nowhere to enter them.
3. Why we hold it
- To provide the service — reading balances, computing your portfolio, sending the alerts you asked for. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To keep the service working and safe — logs, abuse prevention, technical diagnostics. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- To answer you when you contact support. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- To send push notifications. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings.
4. Who else sees it
We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising. Some of it necessarily passes through the services that make the app work:
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Blockchain data providers | The public addresses you added | To read their balances on the blockchain |
| The exchanges you connect | Your read-only API key | To read the balances of that account |
| Market data provider | Nothing about you | Prices, requested for all users at once |
| Google Firebase | Your notification token | To deliver price alerts to your device |
| Google Play, App Store | Your purchase, handled entirely by the store | Subscriptions. We never see your payment details |
| E-mail delivery provider | Your e-mail address and your message | To deliver our reply to your support request |
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, and only to the extent it requires.
5. Where it is stored
On a dedicated server hosted in Germany, within the European Union. Data is not transferred outside the EU by us; the services listed above operate under their own terms and may process data elsewhere.
6. How long we keep it
- Your account and portfolio: as long as the account exists.
- Support tickets: kept while the request is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can follow up.
- Technical logs: a short rolling window.
- Subscriptions: retained as long as accounting rules require.
You can delete your account from the app at any time — Settings, then delete account. This removes your wallets, addresses, exchange connections, holdings and alerts.
7. How it is protected
- All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted with TLS.
- Your PIN is stored as a hash. We cannot read it, and we cannot recover it for you.
- Exchange keys are stored on our server so that balances can be refreshed while the app is closed. We require them to be read-only: even in the worst case, such a key cannot move funds.
- Access to the server is restricted to the operator of the service.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to:
- access the data we hold about you, and receive a copy;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it — which you can also do yourself, from the app;
- restrict or object to a particular use;
- withdraw a consent you had given.
Send us a request from the app — menu, then Support — or write to support [at] liquidviewer.app. Because accounts are pseudonymous, we may need you to prove you control the account before we act.
You may also contact your national data protection authority.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
